John, I wanted to share with you what my stances are — especially where they differ from my Republican opponent: I believe abortion is a right and will fight to defend the right to choose like I always have. My opponent, Doug Mastriano, wants to ban abortion with no exceptions for rape, incest, or life of the mother — and wants to punish doctors who perform abortions. I’ll use my veto pen to stop GOP voter suppression bills and will fight to expand access to the ballot box. Doug Mastriano wants to outlaw no-excuse mail-in voting and make it harder for millions of Pennsylvanians to vote. I’ll appoint a pro-democracy Secretary of State who will defend our electoral system — just like I did in 2020 against the Big Lie as the People’s Attorney General. Doug Mastriano would use the Governor’s office to pick his preferred presidential candidate in the next election. I support unions and am determined to raise the minimum wage to $15 and create more good-paying, stable jobs. Mastriano wants to gut workers’ rights to organize, slash wages for blue-collar workers, and opposes efforts to raise the minimum wage. The future of Pennsylvania is at stake in this race — and that couldn’t be more obvious than by looking at our policy positions side-by-side. The GOP candidate for Governor isn’t interested in Pennsylvanians’ success — but I’m running to take on the big fights for Pennsylvanians.
