When I was four years old, my family narrowly escaped the Communist takeover of South Vietnam. Saigon fell just ten days later.
I arrived in America as a refugee, a boy without a country. To me, America has always been the bright, shining beacon of freedom in the world.
Today, I cannot express to you how proud and thankful I am to be an American.

I served the whole world over on missions as a Navy Special Operations Officer. I fought in combat operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and Somalia.
While I was fighting, I saw the worst of humanity in our enemies; but I also saw the best our country had to offer in the character of my fellow Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen.
But I never thought I’d have to take on enemies who want to destroy America right here at home.
The socialist Left wants to erase our history, kill our democracy, and take away your freedom. But I’ve faced our enemies head-on abroad, and I’m certainly not afraid to take them on here on American soil.
This weekend, I’m facing an 11-way primary where I’m the ONLY combat veteran in the race - and the only one who has the guts to do what we need to do to TAKE BACK this district from the Democrat incumbent.
I know we can pull off an incredible victory and set off a RED WAVE across America, but just like in the Navy, I can’t finish this mission without an A-team fighting alongside me.
