Political Update
Dear A.,
This was a great week for the pro-Israel community and our work together.
Three AIPAC-backed pro-Israel candidates won their primary elections on Tuesday night, defeating three anti-Israel candidates who would have worked to undermine the U.S.-Israel relationship in Congress.
With Shontel Brown’s victory two weeks ago, we have now helped four pro-Israel progressive Democrats win their primary races against anti-Israel opponents.
The new political model we introduced last December—the AIPAC PAC, Political Portal, and a new super PAC—ensured our friends had the resources they needed to win these primaries and their opponents faced insurmountable challenges to winning seats in Washington.
Journalist and award winning author Matti Friedman sits down with AIPAC to discuss his newest book "Who by Fire: Leonard Cohen in the Sinai." The book details the little known story about Leonard Cohen's concert tour on the front lines of the Yom Kippur War.
Frank Melloul, CEO of i24NEWS, sits down with AIPAC to discuss how he went from being a French diplomat to making Aliyah and creating an international news channel. He explains his vision of using i24NEWS to "connect the world to Israel and Israel to the world."

"I want to thank everyone, especially AIPAC in particular, for your enormous support of our campaign. And because of you, we are victorious and we are the Democratic nominee!
AIPAC, you have been an enormous friend, a partner on this journey for us, and we could not have done it without you."
Rep. Peter Meijer (R-MI) sat down with AIPAC to discuss his time in the U.S. Army reserves, his recent trip to Israel and the importance of the Abraham Accords.
AIPAC leadership met with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias in DC this week. The leaders discussed the U.S.-Israel-Greek trilateral relationship and how to strengthen cooperation between the Middle East and Gulf countries.
The mission of AIPAC is to encourage and persuade the U.S. government to enact specific policies that create a strong, enduring and mutually beneficial relationship with our ally Israel.
