This week, we sent over 35,000 texts to mobilize supporters to call on Democratic leadership to drastically cut funding from ICE and CBP — and we’re not done yet.

Shame on Congress for expanding the detention and deportation force. Shame on them for continuing to fund Trump’s border wall. Shame on them for sacrificing immigrant communities in the 2022 budget.
Instead of protecting immigrant communities as they promised, Congress doubled down on deadly enforcement by increasing funding for ICE and CBP’s cruel and violent immigration enforcement.
And this comes after the Biden administration has already grown the deportation machine, invested in harmful and dangerous surveillance technology to track immigrants, and increased the number of Border Patrol agents to target immigrants in our border regions.
Commitment to immigrant justice requires action, which is why we’re demanding Democratic leadership shift towards truly helping our communities — by divesting from ICE and CBP’s violence and investing in the resources we need, including access to health care, equitable housing, education, permanent protections for undocumented folks, and so much more.
We’re fighting to slash ICE and CBP’s budgets, end local law enforcement collaborations with ICE, and close the detention camps. We mobilized thousands of supporters to ramp up the pressure on Democratic leadership to deliver, and we’re counting on your support to keep up our fight.
