Patriot, After more than a year on the campaign trail, I officially filed to run for US Senate in Washington. As an Army wife, mother of 3, former triage nurse, and veterans advocate, I know the problems our country is facing firsthand. In April of 2005 when I learned that my husband serving in Iraq was severely wounded. He fell into a coma and permanently lost sight in both eyes. From the moment I arrived at Walter Reed Medical Center to visit him, I knew it was time for me to put my aspirations aside and ensure my husband received the care he deserved. To this day, I have continued the battle to ensure every veteran gets the benefits and care they have fought for. Unlike career politician Patty Murray who has spent decades in office cozying up to Senate Dems, while neglecting the issues we’re facing back home. Patriot, I am a Conservative running for Senate in Washington State with an optimistic agenda to help families achieve their American Dreams. I humbly ask for $5, $10 or $15 to help get me across the finish line. The fight for Washington begins now. Humbly, Tiffany Smiley Our country needs leadership, Friend. We need someone who will stand up and work to solve our nation's problems. I’m a proven leader, I’ve stood up to the DC bureaucrats at the VA to pave the way for ALL veterans to receive the care and treatment they deserve when they return home. Our veterans are willing to pay the ultimate price for our everyday freedoms. But when they come back home, their service is often overlooked by our very own government. After serving our nation and laying their lives on the line overseas, our veterans should NOT have to beg to get the care they deserve here at home. We need to do better for those who defend our nation, Friend. That is why I’m running for Senate.
