AUL is facing slings and arrows for our advocacy and we’ll no doubt be receiving more verbal threats and attacks. Of course, we don’t love the language or divisiveness that is being targeted at our organization or our courageous leader, but viral moments are capable of separating the wheat from the chaff —showing us who our most powerful friends are and who our opponents are. We believe it is crucial to remember that because so many voices and so much money is intent on killing the most vulnerable as a matter of law and policy. We must both unite Americans and oppose injustice from the opponents of justice.
