| | | No Roe Reversal This Week, But Pro-Lifers Remain Optimistic The U.S. Supreme Court did not put out a decision to overturn Roe v. Wade this week. Pro-lifers have been at the Supreme Court almost every day to pray and hope for a good outcome in the Dobbs v. Jackson decision. In recent weeks, a leaked document from the Court suggests that the Court is likely ready to overturn the 1973 decision that legalized abortion throughout the nation. Texas Values is calling on all Texans to pray for the overturning of Roe and a swift decision in the Dobbs decision. The Texas Values team offered updates on Monday. |

| | | Parents, Is Your Kids’ School Adhering to the New Abstinence Standards? Attention Parents! Schools must adhere to new sex education laws passed in the 87th legislative session. Don’t forget that the State Board of Education passed new abstinence focused standards in 2020. Sex-education must be “Opt-In,” meaning that the school must ask your permission as a parent to teach your child about sex. Also, School Health Advisory Councils must adhere to new rules that make their meetings more transparent by allowing for public comment, recorded meetings, and must let parents know of meetings 72 hours in advance. We received word that some school districts are trying to skirt these new laws. If you believe that your school district is violating these laws, please reach out to us at [email protected] or click the button below. |
