Thank you for helping us progress in our mission by donating before our budgeting deadline yesterday. With your support, we’ll be able to help more Democratic women – especially women of color – running for Congress this year.
When I started working in politics, I found the lack of Asian American representation in those spaces striking. All too often, I was the only Asian or Asian woman in the room. This lack of representation in politics and government has undoubtedly played a role in the misinformation and racism that has fueled the recent acts of violence against the AAPI community.
Last week, we highlighted Congresswoman Grace Meng (NY-6), who has gone above and beyond in the House to introduce legislation to uplift not just the AAPI community, but all the marginalized voices in her diverse district. But the work is far from over. We need to elect more AAPI woman candidates and have people in a position of power who can speak firsthand about the harms of fetishization and the model minority myth, address the towering poverty rates among Southeast Asian populations, and help our government reckon with its colonial history to reach the root of these issues and build a better future – for immigrant communities and voters of color and families across the nation.
Looking forward, there are still two more primary elections this month in Alabama and Georgia. That means we still have a few days to send our support to women of color candidates in these battleground states.
At A Woman’s Place, we're committed to putting our money where our mouth is by getting financial resources into the hands of Democratic women on the frontlines throughout the country. Ready to make the commitment with us? Donate now. [[link removed]]

Right now, our government is far from reflective of its people. Women only make up 23.6% of Congress – yet Republican members in the House and Senate are making moves to legislate and dictate women’s rights and bodily autonomy.
We need your help. With only FIVE days until these critical primaries kick off, we can’t afford to waste any time allocating resources to help women candidates nationwide connect with their voters.
John, want to see more Democratic women win their races? Donate now. [[link removed]]
And once again, thank you for your support. I know we could not do this work to uplift Democratic women without grassroots support like yours – so thank you.

The contemporary political landscape is filled with progressive women who are running for elected office up and down the ballot, who possess a true vision of equality for this country's future. A Woman's Place seeks to support their efforts by providing financial resources to embrace this tongue-in-cheek idea of what a woman's place should be.
We help put women where they belong: positions of political leadership throughout all levels of government.
