We’ve emailed about Roe v. Wade several times in recent days, but we can’t sit back and watch as the GOP strips away the fundamental right to bodily autonomy.

Roy is committed to defending abortion access in North Carolina, but it’s not enough. Women across our country are at risk of losing control over their own bodies, and it’s up to all of us to stand up and speak out. One of the most consequential decisions a person can make is whether to become a parent. It’s a path no one should be forced into without their consent.

Yet the conservative majority on the Supreme Court is clearly prepared to overturn the constitutional right to legal abortion care. We can only wonder what protected rights they will decide to do away with next.

As long as Roy has the veto power to overturn anti-choice Republican legislation, abortion care will remain safe, legal, and accessible in North Carolina.
