Pappas urges action to ban member stock trading

"House leadership could put a bill on the floor today if they wanted, and the continued effort to slow-walk this process remains incredibly frustrating to members of both parties who support these reforms as well as my constituents."

If you agree it's time to ban members of Congress and their families from trading individual stocks, sign our petition today >> [link removed]

Team,

Chris knows that as an elected official it is his obligation to use his position to serve the people – not to benefit from personal financial gain.

But unfortunately many of our elected officials often abuse their privileges by using insider knowledge to trade and profit from the stock market.

That's why Chris has once again called on House leadership to hold a vote on a bill that would ban members of Congress from stock trading and restore integrity to the lawmaking body.

A recent study found that 54 members of Congress have already violated the STOCK Act, and recent polls show that 76% of voters believe that Congress members have an "unfair advantage" in stock trading. This should not be a partisan issue.

Do you agree with Chris that it's time to ban members of Congress and their families from trading individual stocks? Add your name to Chris's petition today >> [link removed]

Thank you,
