Notable Primary Victories

Dr. Donald Douglas - Kentucky State Senate District 22

Incumbent Dr. Donald Douglas defeated Andrew Cooperrider to secure the
Republican nomination in Kentucky State Senate District 22. Douglas took
56% of the vote compared to Cooperrider's 44%.

Samara Heavrin - Kentucky House District 18

2020 GOPAC Emerging Leader and Incumbent Samara Heavrin secured the
Republican nomination for Kentucky House District 18 in a closely watched
primary election.

Natalie Mihalek - Pennsylvania House District 40

2021 GOPAC Emerging Leader and Incumbent Natalie Mihalek fended off primary
challenger Steve Renz in the Republican primary for Pennsylvania House
District 40. Overall, Mihalek received 5,339 votes compared to the 4,536
votes for Renz with nearly 95% of votes being reported.

Erin Houchin - Indiana's 9th Congressional District

Former State Senator and 2015 GOPAC Emerging Leader Erin Houchin won the
Republican primary in Indiana's 9th Congressional District on May 3. The
9th District is safe R+30 which positions her to be Indiana's newest United
States Representative.

On Wednesday, Chairman David Avella joined Stuart Varney on Varney & Co. on
Fox Business to discuss 'enthusiasm' in GOP primaries.

"The ideas President Trump campaigned on and that he ultimately governed on
are helping to guide Republicans. Contrast that with what we are seeing out
of the Biden Administration, that is why we are seeing so much enthusiasm
in these Republican primaries."

State Senator Chuck Edwards wins Republican nomination for North Carolina's
11th Congressional District

Senator Chuck Edwards defeated incumbent Madison Cawthorn in the Republican
primary for NC-11 on Tuesday. Edwards is currently serving his third term
in the state legislature and describes himself as a businessman turned
public servant.

Polling released by GOPAC in April showed Cawthorn's approval rating in
North Carolina fell 13 percentage points from 64 to 51 compared to the
previous month.

"This is simply incredible. Against all odds, we fought hard to win this
election and provide clear conservative leadership for the mountains."
Edwards said in a statement late Tuesday.
