Changes to the Highway Code

Updates on mobile phone use
From Friday 25 March rules in The Highway Code came into force making any hand-held use of a mobile phone while driving illegal, except in limited circumstances. See the updates here.

Nottingham Contactless
Welcome to Nottingham Contactless! The Tap & Go option is available across Nottingham City Transport buses, Linkbuses operated by CT4N and NET trams. You can tap on with contactless bank cards or phones throughout the day and only pay one adult daily charge. Read more about it here.
Staying safe
We advise that you continue to wear face coverings (unless exempt) on public transport and in other indoor spaces. If you travel, follow the safer travel guidance.

On Sunday 22 May the Sikh Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan procession is to take place between 10am-3.30pm. Some public transport services might be affected by this, please check your journey. NCT has some lines disrupted during this time, please check for updates.
Rail services 🚆
Northern: Sunday (29/05) Sheffield-Nottingham, trains will not call at Dronfield. Rail replacement bus service between Sheffield - Chesterfield. Check Northern's website for service updates.

All operators in the city continue to clean vehicles thoroughly on a regular basis, and windows on buses will be kept open for ventilation.
