25% annual price increases are unsustainable, especially when it's entirely within Florida's ability to fix it. In real terms, the costs of inaction on fraudulent litigation reforms are costing the average Florida family $487 annually. That's a hidden tax you're paying, and I was the first in the House to stand up and fight back against it.

But, it's not that I don't have opposition here. The 25 bad-actor lawyers who are filing tens of thousands of cases, paying just 8% of the awards to the victim's family, and whose excesses are featured in Real Housewives of Miami, are the same folks who recruited and are funding my opponent.

I ask you this, why do you think they are so dead-set against me?

Because they are getting RICH off your higher premiums and the avalanche of lawsuits being filed daily on these fraudulent claims of "free roofs."

Look at one of my opponent's reports: $15,000 raised from lawyers, roofers, and law firms and $25,000 from the Republican Party of Florida in just two months. The Speaker of the House who recently endorsed his candidacy has received over $490,000 THIS ELECTION CYCLE from the same lawyers and law firms. NOW do you see why we haven't had meaningful reforms yet?

Here's the thing, I cannot go toe-to-toe with these zillionaires who are cashing in at your expense, but that doesn't mean we are powerless to fight back. Your donations help us get this message out:

Voters hate fraudsters, and my opponents' signs are plastered in front of every billboard lawyer in Brandon. We make that correlation and we win. We HAVE to shine a light on their excesses and the fact they are actively trying to buy my replacement to be silent on these issues.

To do that, I will do my part next week in Tallahassee, but I need YOUR support in sharing this message, volunteering, and chipping in what you can. I'll have to shut down fundraising again during the Special Session next week, but you can GUARANTEE that my opponents will be trying to capitalize on it from the very people intent on preventing reforms.

The next time you see my opponent's advertising in front of a law office in Brandon... now you know why. Take a picture, share it, and tell the story that I spent the last few days outlining. It was windy and complicated but it's really this simple:

a FEW bad actors are cashing in on the higher prices your family is paying. I'm fighting for you while my opponent was recruited and funded to be a tool of inaction.

I should mention, that we still haven't seen the bills the Majority is proposing. Yes, it's Friday and Special Session starts next week. So, I cannot commit to anything until I see the proposals. But, I have your back, I will make sure your family is protected from reforms that go too far, but I will also fight like hell to lower these prices and get the reforms we desperately need.

As always, I'll keep you posted.
