On Tuesday, progressive candidates won major victories in Senate and House primaries from coast to coast. They ran on popular policies such as lowering drug prices, ending the filibuster, legalizing marijuana, climate justice, and expanding the social safety net. And they prevailed despite corporate PACs and dark money groups spending millions of dollars against them.

One of the biggest-spending PACs in Tuesday's races is backing my primary opponent. You can guarantee that they will spend over a million dollars against our campaign in the coming weeks because they want candidates in office who preserve the status quo and block important legislation to help working families.

Corporate PACs and dark money groups may try to erase progressives — but Tuesday's results make clear that we can out-run, out-work, and out-organize every last one of them. Today marks just 40 days until Election Day, and if grassroots supporters in IL-06 all step up, then we can be one of the next big progressive victories.
