Who gets to decide when the pandemic is over? For thousands of hospitals and health care workers, COVID-19 is still a part of their daily life and work as cases are rising in hospitals.

Workforce shortages, supply chain issues, and skyrocketing inflation have created a sharp increase in costs adding additional stress to a health care system that has already been pushed to the limit. Health care workers fear they won’t have the financial support they need when the next surge happens.

To create sufficient federal funding for hospitals to continue caring for patients and communities during the pandemic and beyond, Congress needs to reverse this year’s cuts to Medicare. So this community can make plans for how we can best defend Medicare in the months ahead, will you let us know you're ready to act? Pledge to protect patient care:

Even before the health crisis, vital federal funding for hospitals was continuously at risk, threatening access to quality care and hospital services. Today even more support is needed.

It’s impossible to say exactly how long hospitals and health care workers will be dealing with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, but one thing we know for sure is that it isn’t over yet. So we have to keep fighting to protect patient care today, tomorrow, and for as long as it takes.

Thank you,

The Coalition to Protect America’s Health Care
