What would Thanksgiving look like without clean water? Our staff at American Rivers tested some recipes to find out.

Spoiler alert: it doesn’t look good.

So today, let’s be thankful for healthy rivers -- after all, they provide two-thirds of the water we use in our homes. And let’s channel that gratitude into action -- because too many of our rivers are at risk, and a new report by our partner the U.S. Water Alliance shows that more than two million Americans lack access to safe, clean water.

We have a lot of work to do, and that is why I am thankful for you, our community of supporters.
