For women in sports, it’s been a fight for decades: equal pay for equal work.

 

This week, the players of the U.S. Women’s National Team won their fight. 

 

And they won using the power of a union contract. Equal pay was negotiated through their new collective bargaining agreement.

 

It’s about time!

 

After multiple World Cup wins. After a yearslong legal battle. After massive public outcry.

 

They finally won. 

 

And we finally won, too.
