In Debate Over Schools Funding Formula, Advocates From 2019 Task Force Push For More Resources ([link removed])
A task force convened in 2019 to study the city's school funding formula said it should updated to provide additional funds to students experiencing poverty, temporary housing and involvement in the foster system. Their report was never published by the city.

From 2014 to 2021, more than half of the city's Council Districts saw fewer than 500 new units of affordable housing built. "Many neighborhoods are not doing their part,” one advocate said.
