The Buffalo Shooter Espoused Same Racist Rhetoric Pushed By Ken Buck

John,

This past weekend, in Buffalo, New York, our nation experienced yet another mass shooting motivated by the virulent ideology of white supremacy.

In the shooter’s manifesto, he cites as motivation for his attack, the “Great Replacement Theory” - a concept circulated amongst the far-right which posits that Democrats have weaponized immigration as a tool to eliminate the white race. This despite almost all of his victims not being immigrants but African-American.

At first discussion of the Great Replacement was fringe and isolated in extreme right wing chat rooms and image boards. Unfortunately, politicians like our opponent Congressman Ken Buck (R-CO) have worked to bring the concept into the mainstream.

Buck has made a career of opposing immigrants, especially those of Latin nationalities. Take a look at the way he talks about migrants and how concerned he is about what he terms, Biden’s “Radical Amnesty Agenda”:

What Radical Amnesty Agenda? Last time we checked the Biden administration's immigration platform is still somewhat harsh towards those seeking amnesty within the US. In fact, out of the massive number of Afghani refugees who have been displaced by the Taliban, only a small percentage have received asylum within the United States.

If the rhetoric towards immigrants wasn’t enough to convince you, in the immediate aftermath of the Kenosha shooting, Congressman Buck appeared at a Guns & Barbeque fundraiser for Lauren Boebert in a shirt reading “Kill Them All - Let God Sort Them Out.”

Yesterday, when HR 350, the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act, passed through the House, Buck was among those who voted nay on this critical legislation that call calls for assessments of the threat posed specifically by White supremacists and neo-Nazis. I wonder why he wouldn’t support it? 🤔

A sitting member of the US House of Representatives normalizing hatred and mass violence is unacceptable. I am running for Congress to see that Buck no longer spreads hateful rhetoric or the Big Lie. I refuse to see my country succumb to the same violence and strife that I witnessed in Iraq and I know that time is running out.

This is the year that Buck’s promotion of violence catches up with him and I hope you will join the coalition that is going to unseat him this Fall. John - can we count on you to chip in whatever you can to help us give Buck the boot this November? ([link removed])
