Hello,

Millions of North Carolinians rely on the United States Postal Service to deliver everything from prescription drugs, Social Security benefits, bills, and even mail-in ballots.

But after Donald Trump appointed one of his top campaign donors, Louis DeJoy, to the position of Postmaster General, operational and structural changes were made that slowed this essential service.

Overtime was denied for thousands of USPS employees, mail-sorting machines were decommissioned, delivery times slowed, and mail drop boxes were taken out of our communities — you name it.

DeJoy slowed down mail delivery just ahead of the 2020 election — an election with a record-breaking number of vote-by-mail ballots.

In response to the Postal Service’s last minute changes that put mail-in ballots at risk of not being counted, Josh and a handful of other attorneys general filed a lawsuit to challenge DeJoy’s plan.

And just last week, Josh and his team reached an agreement with the USPS to ensure timely mail delivery in future elections. With the midterm elections approaching, every eligible voter has the right to vote and know that it will count.

As Attorney General, Josh will do everything in his power to continue to protect the Postal Service and ensure North Carolinians’ votes are counted, whether they vote in person or by mail. If you support his efforts, please add your name here → [[link removed]]
