Hi John,

I know it’s tough out there for PFLAG parents right now. In a year when officials from state houses to school boards have criminalized parenting, we need every parent, family member, and ally to rise up in support of their LGBTQ+ loved ones and for their communities.

That’s why this year’s PFLAG Parent Day is so important. PFLAG Parent Day is to celebrate all the parenting people in an LGBTQ+ person's life, from parents to step-parents, guardians to grands, teachers to nurses, families by birth, choice, foster, and adoption.

Give a gift in honor of a parent or parenting person you love, then mark your calendar for this Sunday, May 22 at 2 PM ET to tune in live to our PFLAG Parent Day virtual celebration.

This star-studded event – with host Matt Doyle, Betty DeGeneres Advocate Award Honoree Jesse Tyler Ferguson, George Takei, Big Freedia, Ramin Karimloo, Busy Philipps, musical performances by Jewel and other artists, and appearances by many more – will serve as a touchpoint to engage and inspire advocates and allies who believe all kids should be free to be themselves.

We’ve set an ambitious goal to raise $50,000 leading up to May 22. Your support of PFLAG Parent Day will ensure that every LGBTQ+ person, parent, or family member who needs PFLAG’s life-saving resources can get the support they need – anytime, anywhere.

I hope you’ll give a gift in honor of a parent or parenting person in your life and tune in live to our PFLAG Parent Day celebration this Sunday, May 22 at 2 PM ET.
