Dear John

I want to share the touching story of Karen and her son Paul, who thanks to your support, will have a joyful festive season. Karen and her son, who has Downs syndrome, are among the 70,000 people who benefitted from the legal action we took on behalf of a disabled person left with inadequate support due to a government error.

Please donate now so we can continue to challenge injustices against families in poverty.

Karen wrote to me earlier this year:

Please donate today.

The error happened back in 2011, when 1.5 million sick or disabled people with limited capability for work started to be transferred to Employment Support Allowance by the Department for Work and Pensions. 70,000 disabled people and their families lost out on between £2,000 and £20,000. Karen and Paul were among the families hit hard by this.

Thanks to our legal proceedings, the error was conceded. This was a substantial and life-changing win for many people. Karen wrote:

Will you please donate so we can achieve justice for other families that are unfairly left behind? Because when we win, we transform the lives of thousands of families living in poverty.

Yes, I'll donate

Thank you for your generosity.

Warm wishes for the festive season,

Martin Williams
