Dear Friends,

We are pleased to share that, after being postponed earlier this week, the event Transatlantic Titles: Spotlighting New Books from Local Authors has been rescheduled to Tuesday, June 7. Join us for an evening of short rotating book talks – sort of like speed-dating – with authors whose recent books explore US-German connections.

Are you familiar with the theremin? This instrument is an intriguing and unique electronic instrument that uses electromagnetic fields to generate sound. In June, thereminist Dorit Chrysler will come to Washington for Sound Scene 2022, which features a series of workshops and performances at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden.

If you're looking for something fun to do this summer, why not try learning German? Registration is now in process for summer courses taking place in-person and online.
