John,
Working Families Party just announced that they’ve decided to endorse Rep. Donald Payne Jr. in the NJ-10 primary.
Here’s the thing, John: The WFP in New Jersey has steered their car off the progressive turnpike of NJ and are heading straight to K Street in Washington with lightning speed.
And despite their consistent claims that we need to abolish New Jersey’s corrupt ballot line, they consistently support candidates like Donald Payne Jr. who benefit from the line, the machine, and the corruption endemic to our state.
So, it’s not surprising that they’ve chosen to endorse a machine-backed candidate, even though that candidate doesn’t align with their stated “values.”
Rep. Payne Jr. and NJWFP have that in common: they’re both willing to compromise their values and bend the knee to a corrupt political machine that stalls progress and hurts New Jersey families.
Luckily, there’s another option. If you want a representative who will always stand up for what’s right, fight for real progress, and fight back against the political machine instead of fighting with it, click here to chip in $27 today. [[link removed]]

WFP’s Charter specifically lays out policy that all progressives should get behind — including ensuring workers have access to unions, taxing giant corporations who don’t pay their fair share, buying out oil companies to transition to green energy, and protecting our democracy by getting big money out of politics.
Meanwhile, Rep. Donald Payne Jr. has accepted contributions from anti-union corporate PACs, including Amazon. He failed to cosponsor the Fair Pay Act and the Hazard Pay for the Frontlines During Health Emergencies Act. He’s taken money from the world’s worst polluters, including fossil fuel PACs like ExxonMobil, Enbridge, and the Association of Oil Pipelines, and refuses to support a Green New Deal.
And, he’s taken over $1 MILLION in corporate PAC and trade group money — so much for getting big money out of politics.
This endorsement just goes to show how deep the corruption runs in New Jersey’s political machine.
Unlike WFP and Rep. Payne Jr., I’m not afraid to fight against corruption and take a real stand on the issues that matter to New Jersey families. If you’re with me, click here to chip in $27 and help me defeat Rep. Payne Jr. and his corrupt machine allies. [[link removed]]
