John,

I’m determined to not only help Philadelphia build back from the unprecedented events of the past several years, but build back better.

Our city received generous and significant funding from the federal government through the passage of the American Rescue Plan, and it’s beyond time that we use this funding wisely. It’s time to start building a Philadelphia that works for all of us.

Philadelphians have lost faith in their city government to solve numerous problems plaguing our residents, and most importantly, our children. One of these crises is our city’s crumbling public schools. The truth is, John, the poor infrastructure of our public schools is harming our city’s ability to prepare our children for the future.

With your support, I can continue to advance legislation that addresses this urgent need, and uses our funding wisely in order to build a better future for our residents, young and old. If you’re able, will you donate today?

As mentioned, I’ve already begun urging for action to tackle our crumbling public schools. In fact, this month, I’ll be advancing legislation that establishes new asbestos inspection requirements for our city’s buildings, including our schools. These new requirements will address where the need for refurbishment is greatest, and how to efficiently modernize our public infrastructure.

By using our funding wisely, we can help Philadelphia truly build back better, and become a better city than it ever has been before.

John, please consider supporting my efforts today, by making a small contribution. Your support will allow me to continue fighting for you, and urging my colleagues to join me.

Thanks for your continued support,

Derek
