Gray Television Poll: Greitens Holds 9-Point Lead in GOP Primary, Would Easily Defeat Any Democrat in General Election St. Louis, MO – A newly released poll from SurveyUSA conducted exclusively for Gray Television's Missouri stations shows former Missouri governor Eric Greitens leading the GOP primary and general election for the U.S. Senate. According to KFVS 12 News, the survey was conducted between May 11—15 and found Governor Greitens leads the GOP field with 26%, highlighting a 9-point lead over Eric Schmitt at 17%, Vicky Hartzler at 11% and Billy Long at 7%, respectively. Among “very conservative” voters, SurveyUSA found Greitens polled at 38 percent, compared to 14 percent for Schmitt. Greitens also led at 34 percent among voters who say the endorsement of President Donald Trump makes them more likely to vote for a candidate. Among the 21 percent of likely Republican primary voters who say abortions should be illegal under all circumstances, he received 31 percent. He also polled better among those with lower household incomes and in rural parts of the state, each of which gave Greitens 30 percent of the vote. According to SurveyUSA, likely voters who say they are “certain” to vote in the Republican primary, Greitens led Schmitt by 13 points, and led Hartzler by 16 points; among those who say they will “probably” vote, Greitens and Schmitt tie with 18 percent for each, 11 points ahead of Hartzler. This independent polling data confirms a poll released by the Greitens campaign last week showing Greitens with a similar lead in both the primary and general elections. As reported by the Washington Examiner, in a Co/Efficient poll conducted May 2-4, showed Governor Greitens leading the field at 26%, trailed by Vicky Hartzler at 19%, Eric Schmitt at 14%, and Billy Long at 7%, respectively. Greitens campaign manager Dylan Johnson called out fake polling distributed by Remington Research, a subsidiary of Axiom Strategies, who works for the Schmitt campaign. “Back-to-back polls from reliable and independent pollsters prove that Remington Research is simply willing to print fake numbers in exchange for their client’s campaign cash. It’s simply a rouse to attempt to spin the media and mislead those watching this race. A month ago, Remington Research falsely claimed that even with an endorsement from President Trump, Ohio Senate candidate J.D. Vance would lose to their client. They were lying then, and they are lying today.” Also reported by Axios, entrepreneur and media personality Andy Frisella recently announced a “seven-figure” donation to a Super PAC supporting Governor Greitens. Governor Greitens’ campaign has taken in nearly 40,000 donations—an incredibly strong showing of grassroots support across Missouri and the country. Eric Greitens remains the only Missouri candidate to commit to voting against Mitch McConnell as Senate GOP leader. #### FOLLOW US ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Paid for by Greitens for U.S. Senate | PO Box 989, Chesterfield, MO 63006 Unsubscribe [email protected] Update Profile | Our Privacy Policy | Constant Contact Data Notice Sent by [email protected] powered by Try email marketing for free today!
