After midnight tonight, federal law requires my team to pull together a report and publicly say how much we have raised to turn Iowa blue in ‘22. We have done very well, but with 5 hours left until our mandated FEC fundraising deadline, we’re still $7,165 short of our $400,000 goal needed to defeat Chuck Grassley.
This is the most important deadline of the campaign by far: Please, may I count on you to chip in $5 or more right now – before the FEC deadline at midnight tonight – to help me defeat Chuck Grassley, turn Iowa blue, and protect our Democratic Senate majority?
This is a race we can win. Iowa was one of the closest Senate races in the country in 2020, and polling from the highly-respected Des Moines Register confirms that only 27% of Iowa voters want to reelect Chuck Grassley!
But the Super PACs are lurking. Mitch McConnell is piling millions of dollars into Super PACs to attack me and put Republicans back in charge. We cannot allow that to happen. Just imagine what will happen if we have yet another Supreme Court vacancy and McConnell and Grassley get their way.
