Last night's primary elections brought 2 big wins -- and outrage over
millions in dark-money misinformation campaigns.

The good news about last night’s primary elections is that two of our
top-endorsed House candidates won their races. Congratulations to bold
progressives Summer Lee for winning in PA-12 and Jamie McLeod-Skinner in
OR-5!

Jamie McLeod-Skinner overcame a deluge of corporate super PAC money to
defeat Kurt Schrader, who was endorsed by the very president he undermined
over and over again. His defeat should signal to every corporate-aligned
Democrat that blocking a progressive Democratic agenda could end your
political career.

Summer Lee had a 25-point lead just weeks before Election Day, before a
corporate-funded dark-money campaign spent millions spreading
misinformation and turned the race into a nail-biter. Her victory
continues a sea change in the Democratic Party away from corporate
Democrats and weak liberals -- toward bold progressives who are connected
to their communities and willing to fight.

The bad news is that dark monied corporate interests pumped millions into
these races to try to stop our candidates. And here’s the harsh truth: the
Democratic Party is going to lose in 2022 and beyond if leadership
continues to allow them to throttle dynamic young leaders and prop up
candidates who oppose a popular agenda.

Take a stand and make clear that anyone who is part of corporate
dark-money misinformation ads are persona non grata with Democrats in
Congress and the DCCC. Sign here.

Corporate interests like AIPAC and Big Pharma are spending millions of
dollars against progressives like Summer and Jamie -- candidates who
excite voters and are running in blue districts that deserve progressive
representation.

And they don't run ads on the issues they purport to care about -- such as
Israel, low corporate taxes, and slashing business regulations. Instead,
they falsely accuse popular progressive candidates of being bad Democrats.
This is a rich accusation from corporate-funded groups like AIPAC that
"went Full Trump" and endorsed over 30 pro-insurrection Republican members
of Congress.

But disingenuous as they are, their misinformation campaigns have a
devastating impact. Democratic voters are fed up with bad Democrats and
want good Democrats who are progressive fighters and will take on
authoritarians and far-right extremists.

Speaker Pelosi and other House Democratic leaders need to take a stand and
make clear that anyone who is part of these corporate dark-money
misinformation ads are persona non grata with Democrats in Congress and
the DCCC.

Our government relations team -- P Street, the progressive alternative to
K Street -- will share your support for this with Speaker Pelosi and other
House Democratic leaders, the media, and key allies in Congress.

Thanks for being a bold progressive.
