John –

Elon Musk tweeted THIS today:

No dirty tricks here. We just want to hear your thoughts, John. Are you upset that Elon Musk is giving himself to the dark side? Or are you glad to see him go?

It’s rich (pun intended) that billionaire Elon Musk would call Democrats the party of division and hate.

But to be serious for a moment, we’ve seen a lot of hate recently. In Charlottesville. In the January 6th insurrection. In Buffalo this past weekend.

Only one party has given in to division and hatred. Elise Stefanik of New York, the third-highest ranking Republican in the House, has embraced the white supremacist doctrine of “replacement theory” that was cited by the Buffalo, New York shooter for his decision to kill Black people, and she refuses to apologize or disavow her past statements.

From Republicans' mouths, through Tucker Carlson’s megaphone, to the Buffalo shooter’s ears.

Hank has been saying on the record since President Obama’s first term that there are racist forces at play in our country, just waiting to be given enough credibility to creep out of the shadows. Donald Trump granted them that credibility, and the Republican Party is sustaining it.

So no, Elon. Democrats are not the party of division and hate. Democrats are the party of refuge for those who have faced hate head on.

If you can’t see that, we’re glad to see you go.
