Dear John

Take Action: Climate & Ocean

Tonight at 7pm, leaders of most of the main political parties will explain how they plan to tackle the climate emergency and the crisis in nature.

Energy and transport are sure to be vital topics in the climate debate -- but will the ocean even get a mention?

We need to know if our party leaders share our love of the ocean and what they plan to do. Do they understand the threats the ocean faces? Its potential to help fight climate change?

Email Party Leaders

If you don't use Twitter, could you email a party leader? Choose as many as you like and email them using the addresses below:

Sian Berry - Greens: [email protected] Corbyn - Labour: [email protected] Johnson - Conservative: [email protected] Price - Plaid Cymru: [email protected] Sturgeon SNP: [email protected] Swinson - Lib Dem: [email protected]

In your email, you could ask the party leaders to talk about their plans for ocean protection on tonight’s debate. If you’re emailing Boris Johnson who hasn’t yet accepted the invitation, you could ask him to show up to the debate and talk about his ocean plans.

Come on #GenerationSea! Let’s demand party leaders show they're committed to ending the chokehold of plastic in the ocean, to protecting ocean life and to keeping our waters free of sewage.

For the ocean,
