Dear John,
We were excited to watch election returns come in last night, as progressive candidates won key victories in races across the country while some of the most conservative voices lost.
Can you join us today to help continue that momentum?
In Pennsylvania, progressives won the Democratic nomination for both the U.S. Senate seat and the hotly contested 12th congressional district. Lt. Gov. John Fetterman will be the senatorial nominee, and state representative Summer Lee will be the nominee to fill the PA-12 House seat.
Meanwhile, Charles Booker won the Democratic nomination to challenge Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) for his seat this November. In 2020, Booker narrowly lost to Amy McGrath, a centrist candidate to whom corporate Democrats funneled millions but lost to Mitch McConnell in the general election.
Finally, in rural Oregon, Jamie McLeod-Skinner appears to have won her primary, overcoming 7-term conservative incumbent Kurt Schrader.
Not only did progressives win those races (while unfortunately falling to incumbents backed by waves of Super PAC spending in races from North Carolina to Oregon), but some of the most notoriously conservative voices in the country lost their’s. Madison Cawthorne lost his GOP congressional primary, as did a candidate endorsed by Trump to serve as Governor of Idaho.
Your help today can ensure that momentum continues—not only in our race, but also across the country by forcing corporate Democrats into a defensive posture.
In the year that we won the jungle primary alongside her, Nancy Pelosi spent 400% more on her re-election campaign than she did in the previous year.
On the one hand, that shows how her resources are effectively limitless. Indeed, we’re aiming to hold accountable the most powerful voice in Washington.
On the other hand, we tied up $22 million that Pelosi was unable to deploy against progressives in other races—while also forcing her into repeated policy concessions.
We’re back now to finish the job and continue the momentum that our movement demonstrated around the country last night. But, as we face off against a dynastic oligarch with a long and continuing history of corruption, we need your support to level the playing field.
Can you join us today to help us reach, inform, and inspire more voters to embrace the change the future needs?
We hope you celebrate last night’s victories! We continue working to give you a few more reasons to celebrate after the primary currently underway wraps up on June 7.
Because the press has affirmatively abdicated its constitutional function and continues to whiteout not only our campaign, but the election altogether, most San Franciscans don’t even realize that Pelosi is up for re-election. Meanwhile, Pelosi continues to duck debates for the 35th year, relying on co-opted journalists to construct the cult of personality that surrounds her.
Your support helps us work around those obstacles to inform San Franciscans about the choices that the bipartisan corporate establishment doesn’t want our neighbors to hear.
Thanks for standing with us—and with the future!
Your voice,
Shahid
