Let me start by saying thank you for all the support you have given João, my family, and this campaign over not just the past few days, but the past year! It all means the world to us.
This campaign is unique in a lot of ways, but especially because of how our campaign is financially supported.
You won’t find any icky, dirty money here, thank you very much! 🙅🏻♀️
From the very start, we’ve been running a clean, honest and kind Democratic campaign (that’s unique too, sadly). That means our campaign has never, and will never, accept dirty corporate PAC money. No million-dollar Wall Street checks. And definitely no money from Big Oil.
Everything this campaign does is fueled by the donations of people who believe in João and our campaign. When we say we're people-powered, we really mean it.
But now that João is the official Democratic nominee, we need to take our grassroots enthusiasm to the next level so we can flip this seat blue. That means each and every one of us chipping in what we can, when we can.
No, we’re not going to ask you to make a huge donation you can’t afford. And no, our campaign is never going to ignore our grassroots donors in the name of attracting billionaires and super PACs.
That’s not how we do things.
We’re proud to be people-powered, unlike the Republicans, who will no doubt be spending millions of dollars in an attempt to buy this seat. Which is why it’s even more important that our campaign sticks to its core values.
