Dear friend,
Teachers and early childhood educators are the backbone of our communities -- and we all know it. But somehow, that doesn’t come across in wages.
That’s why I’m proud to fight for expanded tax credits for educators! Far too often, teachers use their personal resources to finance their lessons, including investing in classroom supplies. This is a realistic way we can ease that burden and ensure that they have the financial support they need to set their students up for success.
Educating the future generations, as well as ensuring that students are safe and supported, is a huge job, and I’m so grateful for everyone who does it so well.
That’s why I’m proud to stand with teachers -- including the AFT, the NEA and advocacy groups -- in the fight for fairer pay. Will you join us? [[link removed]]

I know that no single measure will fix the problem overnight, but we can’t continue to call teachers essential without working to fix the systemic issues that leave them underpaid, undervalued, and under-resourced.
I hope you’ll stand with me in this fight. [[link removed]]
Thanks,
Nydia
