As we wait for additional votes to be counted in PA-12, it is clear that Steve Irwin ran a very strong race against a candidate who just a few weeks ago was leading him in a poll by over 20 points. Irwin came from behind and is right now less than half a percentage point from victory.
This shows that as voters learned more about Irwin and his policy positions throughout the race, they increasingly supported his campaign and rejected Summer Lee’s brand of divisive politics. This is a close race but the momentum we have built is clear. However, our work is not done, we must continue to support pro-Israel candidates across the board and secure victories that will protect and advance the US.-Israel relationship in Congress.
