Hey John, Kimi here. If there’s one thing you should know about me it’s that I am not a passive bystander.
That is part of the reason I am in this race in the first place. I knew it would be the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, but that’s a challenge I am ready to take on for a better Nevada.
About two years ago, I made the decision to retire from being a small business owner and construction project manager after devoting a large part of my life to the workforce. At first, I was happy to be retired. I finally had the opportunity to spend some free time doing the recreational things I love most – hiking, skiing, and riding my motorcycle…
But when the day was all done, I would lay in bed at night feeling like something was missing. I thought about those who didn’t have the same opportunities, those struggling to make ends meet, and those feeling left behind. My head would be spinning of ways that I could do more to help make Nevada a better place.
Well, fast forward to now–I decided to take on one of the biggest challenges I’ve ever had to face and run for Lieutenant Governor. And I would not change a thing. I am committed to this fight to give every Nevadan the quality of life they deserve.
But I refuse to take a dime of corporate money because my loyalty is with working-class Nevadans not with special interests, so that means I need your help to keep running a solid grassroots campaign.
