We The Action Volunteer,

Good morning, and welcome to our weekly digest of current volunteer legal projects.

With the recent news about the future of Roe v. Wade, please know that We The Action is actively speaking with reproductive justice organizations to find the best, highest impact opportunities for lawyers to contribute to the fight for reproductive justice. To ensure you see the latest opportunities as our partners post them, log in today and make sure that your profile includes reproductive justice under “Causes You Care About.”

We have 120 legal projects that need your help:

11—20 HOURS

Support Workers Facing COVID-Related Challenges

National Legal Advocacy Network

Answer questions from low-wage workers about COVID-related challenges including unemployment insurance, unsafe working conditions, discriminatory hiring/firing practices, and more. This is a remote opportunity, and lawyers barred in any state are welcome to volunteer.

1—5 HOURS

Research to Strengthen Rights of Sexual Assault Survivors

Rise Up, Inc.

An organization working to strengthen the rights of sexual assault survivors nationwide needs help conducting legal research to understand current state laws and identify any gaps. This is a remote opportunity. This project is only open to lawyers barred in Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maine, Mississippi, Ohio, Texas, and Wisconsin.

If you're looking for other opportunities to get involved in the fight for reproductive justice, our friends at United State of Women recently launched their Abortion Access Hub, where you can sign up to hear from USOW about other advocacy projects.

We hope you and your loved ones are healthy and safe.

Best,
The We The Action Team
