Don't let corporate polluters block important environmental policies.
Friend - this is flying under the radar right now, but it's incredibly important: The Biden-Harris administration is about to decide on some of the most important environmental policies of this presidency.
We're looking at new air quality standards. New limits on soot. A chance to cut climate pollution from power plants. To reduce mercury and other air toxins. To reduce car and truck emissions. To rein in methane pollution from the oil and gas industry. To end new drilling leases. And to hold companies accountable if they try to greenwash about their emissions.
Friend -- I promise, we have a real shot at winning each and every one of these fights, but we need to act quickly. Fossil fuel groups are already aiming to pack public hearings with their representatives -- which risks derailing the new policies before they reach the president's desk.
Can you help? LCV is scaling up a pressure campaign on President Biden to use his executive authority to roll out historic new environmental initiatives. Without the resources to go toe-to-toe with Big Oil and other special interests, we risk losing.

Friend -- these policies are all moving at the same time as Congress is hashing out what could be the most important climate bill in a generation. After stalling out at the end of last year, there's a new push to get a bill passed in the next few weeks. Bottom line -- we need to go all out.
And not just with Congress. Not just with President Biden. Both.
The timing here is critical. Public hearings are already set for many of these new policy decisions -- and there's a serious problem. Industry groups are flooding these hearings with their representatives, armed with anti-environment talking points. If they go unanswered, our voices will get lost in the industry disinformation.
We're hoping to pull out all of the stops, Friend. We have a plan to drive hundreds of thousands of letters demanding clean air and water from environmentalists like you into federal agencies in Washington, D.C. -- and we're flying in activists from around the country to meet with lawmakers.
But the truth is, without your help, our campaigns don't work. If we're forced to scale back our plans, we will be letting corporate polluters run the table. We need to make sure the federal government hears from the environmental movement in a MAJOR way over the next few months, or else we won't win these important fights.
If you believe, as we do, that corporate polluters should not block our most important environmental policies, join our campaign >> [link removed]
We'll be in touch with more updates on our campaigns for strong pro-environment policies and historic climate legislation.
