Hi Friend --
Our last email erroneously
stated that the consultations would be held on 25 May. They will be
held on Monday, 23 May. Please find the corrected email
below.

In
December last year, we set out to make sure that the First Meeting of
States Parties to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons
would be the most inclusive UN meeting on weapons and we’re working
hard to achieve that.
We’re therefore really happy to be
able to host an open consultation with the President-Designate
of the meeting, Ambassador Alexander Kmentt, on 23 May at 15:00
CEST.

You are invited to join this open
consultation, where Ambassador Kmentt will brief you on the key topics
of the Meeting of States Parties and what his expectations for the
conference are. As civil society coordinator, ICAN will
brief you on what civil society organisations are planning to do in
Vienna and how you can impact the discussions, shape your government’s
policies and follow the conference from home. There will be
possibilities to ask both Ambassador Kmentt and ICAN questions during
the event.
Register for this event here.
Warm regards,
Alicia

It’s time to end nuclear
weapons.
