Well, that didn’t take long. I tweeted this the other day:
While the right-wing outrage machine went into full-blown meltdown mode, one of their extremist leaders, Erick Erikson, proved me right by tweeting:
The 19th Amendment stipulates: “The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.” In Michigan, a law from 1931 would make abortion a felony if Roe v. Wade falls. If other states follow this model, people who have abortions would be disenfranchised from voting after being designated “felons” for the “crime” of making their own health care decisions. That’s why today we need your help. We need YOU to make sure the Republican Party – a party that is trying to criminalize accessing reproductive health – does not win this November. Will you contribute to this effort, team?
