As you know, Pam and I are excited new parents to baby Lily (isn’t she the cutest?).

 

When Lily was born, the doctors told us she wasn’t gaining enough weight and we needed to supplement her diet with baby formula.

We never could have imagined that in just a couple months, we’d be in the middle of a baby formula shortage and struggling to find enough on the shelves!

In fact, just this past week, Pam and I went to the store and were told we had to join a waiting list for formula! I thought that was crazy… no parent in America should have to be put on a waiting list to feed their baby. This shortage is actually very scary for us new parents.

Luckily there's things the government can do right now to help. We've got to cut red tape to get formula stocked quicker and allow for quicker imports to increase supply. I'm also working on emergency funding for the FDA to prevent fraudulent formula from ending up in stores during the shortage.

As a new dad, I can tell you there's nothing more important than keeping our kids healthy. Congress needs to step up and fix this, now.
