Hi John,
This weekend, we were met once again with the horrifying cost of inaction in the face of gun violence. We refuse to sit back while our elected leaders offer thoughts and prayers and empty calls for action.
We have joined our partners across the country to demand that our elected leaders fulfill their promise to protect our communities from the scourge of gun violence. Add your name here to demand federal action to save lives.

Here’s what we’re calling for:
* The House to invest $750 million in community violence intervention work
* The Senate to vote on universal background checks
* The White House to establish a White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention
Hate-fueled mass shootings like Buffalo shock the nation, making the gun violence epidemic impossible to ignore. But we know that every day gun violence steals more than 100 lives and wounds twice as many without dominating the headlines.
Just last week, the CDC confirmed that gun homicides rose 35 percent in 2020, resulting in 5,000 more deaths. Young Black men, aged 15-34 bore the brunt of this spike, accounting for 38 percent of all homicides, despite making up just 2 percent of the population.
These numbers represent real people, with families, loved ones, and communities grieving their loss. We are determined to honor the victims of Buffalo, Laguna Woods and all victims of gun violence with action.
Please, add your name to demand our federal elected leaders use their power to keep our communities safe from the scourge of gun violence.
