Friend,
Every May, we celebrate National Police Week – a time when we reflect on the service of the brave men and women who keep our communities safe, as well as the sacrifice of those we have lost in the line of duty.
Here in Northeast Wisconsin, we are blessed with some of the best police officers in the country – officers who work around the clock to make sure Northeast Wisconsin continues to be the best place in the world to live, work, and raise a family.
But while here in Northeast Wisconsin we have incredible respect for our law enforcement, we also understand that it is not an easy time to be a police officer. Drugs are flowing across the border and infiltrating communities across Wisconsin and the country. Violent crime is skyrocketing. And all the while, some have called to "defund the police.” This is a perfect storm that makes this critical job harder for our brave law enforcement officials.
That’s why now more than ever, we need to stand with the police. We need to ensure our law enforcement professionals have the resources that they need to do their jobs. And that means above all else, we need to fund the police to ensure they can keep themselves – and our communities – safe.
So from all of Northeast Wisconsin to our brave law enforcement officers, thank you for all that you’ve done and continue to do.
Semper Fi,
