People For Supporter –
Today is the anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education, a historic and landmark Supreme Court precedent – holding that separate educational facilities for White and Black students were inherently unequal – that set us on the course of greater inclusion and equality.
Now, the forces of hate and division that have attempted to drive us backwards are targeting similar landmark Supreme Court precedents that safeguard rights they oppose.
As the far right continues gaining footholds in state and federal office, it’s necessary for us to continue fighting back against their efforts with the same, if not greater, urgency as we did during the Trump administration. Many of Trump’s acolytes are running for office up and down the ticket with intentions to replicate his radical, far-right agenda.
And now, with three of Trump’s nominees serving as sitting justices on the Supreme Court, we’re witnessing the erosion of protected legal precedent that once was thought to be unimaginable.
