John, I’m asking you for $5.

Here’s why: Polls show me neck and neck with Marco Rubio – and, according to The Miami Times, I’m rapidly closing the gap.

I know $5 doesn't sound like much, but that's how we've built the momentum to make our race competitive. When thousands of people like you join our team with even $5, we build a powerful and unstoppable movement.

But the GOP dark-money machine is determined to destroy our momentum and defeat me at any cost, so I’m leaning on this grassroots team again to help flip Florida blue.

I’m reaching out to supporters of the Democratic Party of Georgia because I know that you care about expanding our Senate majority and that you believe that Democrats can win in the South.

I've set a goal to raise another $20,000 before MIDNIGHT, but we’re still $2,592 short. And, at this point in the election, when Rubio and the GOP are launching another round of vicious, nasty attack ads to defeat me, missing this goal is not an option.

In the time that it’s taken you to get to this point in the email, seven people have already donated $5 to join our team, but I’m counting on you to chip in too, John.
