We are just a few weeks away from the June 7th primary, the first time Christy and Mike Garcia will go head-to-head and our first glimpse at what the midterms will look like. With waves of new endorsements, canvassing events all over the district, and thousands of doors knocked, we're feeling that 2022 Blue Wave energy more than ever.
Check out what Christy's been up to: The L.A. Times just endorsed Christy! Here's what they had to say:
"Incumbent GOP Rep. Mike Garcia is seeking reelection after a term in office in which he proved to be a Trump enabler and a threat to democracy. He was among the Republican extremists who, outrageously, tried to throw out the votes from Arizona and Pennsylvania by voting against certifying Joe Biden’s 2020 election…Government leaders are determined by the will of the voters, and elected officials whose actions defy this central tenet of democracy are undeserving of voters’ support. That’s reason enough to oust Garcia."
Christy joined thousands of people across the country on Saturday to march for reproductive justice and take a stand against the horrifying leaked SCOTUS opinion. We must take the protest to the polls, first on June 7th in California and then on November 8th to make sure Roe remains law of the land.
Grassroots supporters are the backbone of Christy's campaign. She had a ton of fun with Heart of LA Democratic club getting out to knock doors and talk to voters. This is democracy in action, and how we're going to flip CA-27 from red to blue. Let's go!
Christy was proud to receive the endorsement of the National Women's Political Caucus, the only national organization dedicated exclusively to increasing women's participation in all areas of political and public life. They've also been at the forefront fighting for reproductive justice. The country succeeds when women lead, thank you to the NWPC!
Christy was beyond grateful for receiving the endorsement of CHIRLA, a leading national organization working for just and humane immigration reform policies. Here's what they had to say, "In the Newhall School Board, she worked to pass a bond measure to help disadvantaged schools in the district, and as an Assemblymember, she led reforms that ensured equitable resources for all schools. Collaborated with CHIRLA, SALVA, and the Dolores Huerta Foundation."
Thank you, CHIRLA for the excellent work fighting for justice for all immigrants and more humane border policies.
That's all for now, thank you so much for your continued support heading into this critical election season.
