Enough is enough.

So many lives have been taken. So many families have been devastated. So
many communities have been traumatized by these avoidable tragedies at the
hands of gun violence carried out by white supremacists.

The Buffalo attacker professed a belief in something called “The Great
Replacement Theory,” a deeply racist, antisemitic idea that with the help
of Jewish people, black people and other minorities will replace white
people like him.

He wrote in his manifesto that he “carried out this attack to show to the
replacers that as long as the White man lives, our land will never be
theirs and they will never be safe from us.”

And before you start to think that this is some fringe online message
board idea, half of Republicans now say they somewhat or strongly believe
in The Great Replacement Theory too.

Even worse, Trump, the Republican Party, Fox News, and the entire GOP
ecosystem are refusing to acknowledge the culture of white supremacy
they’ve created and fueled.

It is high-ranking Republican members of Congress, Republican candidates
for the U.S Senate, and Fox News media pundits who have pushed this
extremist ideology into the mainstream, breathing oxygen into the fire of
a dangerous far-right white nationalist movement that seeks to murder
people of color for simply existing.

Just look at what leading Republican figures have said to help platform
this racist conspiracy theory:

Fox News host Tucker Carlson: “They’re trying to change the population
of the United States. And they hate it when you say that because it’s
true. But that’s exactly what they’re doing. Is anyone pushing back at
all?”

The third-ranking GOP member in the House of Representatives, Elise
Stefanik: “Radical Democrats are planning their most aggressive move
yet: a PERMANENT ELECTION INSURRECTION. Their plan to grant amnesty to
11 MILLION illegal immigrants will overthrow our current electorate and
create a permanent liberal majority in Washington.”

Republican Nominee for Ohio U.S Senate, J.D Vance: “You’re talking about
a shift in the democratic makeup of this country that would mean we
never win, meaning Republicans would never win a national election in
this country ever again.”

Following Tucker Carlson referring to white people as "legacy Americans"
and saying that they are being replaced by "more obedient people from
far away countries, Florida Congressmen Matt Gaetz wrote in a tweet
“@TuckerCarlson is CORRECT about Replacement Theory as he explains what
is happening to America.”

This shooter isn’t the first one to hold such hateful views and sadly he
likely won’t be the last. Countless other mass shooters have held the same
extreme racist views, and it’s all fueled by Republicans’ unapologetically
hateful and violent rhetoric.

Everyone must call this what it is: white nationalist terrorism.

in power, both Democrats and Republicans with a spine to speak out. Please

The domestic terrorist that committed this mass shooting posted his
manifesto online before killing 10 people saying that he specifically
chose Buffalo because it was the city with the highest number of Black
people near him.

This is part of a pattern of White nationalists targeting people of color
in deadly attacks.

Our country should be in crisis mode. We are losing children, parents,
family members, teachers, co-workers, friends, and loved ones at the hands
of increased acts of white nationalist violence.

They specifically target people of color and immigrants, bragging on
right-wing message boards about their victories fighting the replacers.

I’m sick and tired of “thoughts and prayers” from spineless Republican
politicians and media figures unwilling to stand up to the message of hate
coming from their own party. Elise Stefanick, Tucker Carlson, J.D. Vance,
Matt Gaetz, and other Republicans pushing The Great Replacement Theory,
are to blame. They all have blood on their hands.
