What’s keeping Virginia from becoming the likes Alabama, Texas, Louisiana, and other states that have introduced – and in some cases, passed – legislation that bans abortion, criminalizes healthcare workers, and charges women with homicide?
One seat. My seat.
It was the red-to-blue seat that I won in 2019 by taking out a GOP incumbent that decided the Senate majority.
That election is now even more critical as GOP governors across the country are pushing for a radical and extreme rightwing agenda. Just this week, Governor Ricketts of Nebraska vowed to ban abortion "even in cases of rape and incest." If we don't stand together now, Virginia will be next.

My promise to you is that I will ceaselessly fight to block any anti-choice legislation from ever becoming the law of our Commonwealth. Because the health and well-being of women matter. Medical decisions belong in doctors’ offices, between patients and their physicians. Medical decisions are not political decisions. Plain and simple.
