Rural Wisconsin is home. They’re not just voters; Republicans or Democrats. They’re neighbors, friends, people who understand what it’s like to grow up on a farm and work hard for what you have.
As I’ve been traveling around Wisconsin’s Third District, talking to voters, the biggest complaint I’ve gotten is that fancy Washington politicians talk too much and never listen. My mom used to tell me, “Brad, you were born with two ears and one mouth so listen twice as much as you speak.”
It’s high time Washington politicians start listening to rural voices. Together, we are building a better future for everyone in Wisconsin’s Third District where they feel supported by their leaders. Politicians stopped listening to rural voices. Well, I’m here to change that because I’m a rural voter myself. I know what it’s like to slip and fall in a cowpie. I also know what it feels like when the closest hospital used to be over an hour away, but it shut down due to budget cuts, so you’ve got to drive two-and-a-half hours instead.
We have to build roads. We need infrastructure. We need broadband. We have to invest in our small businesses. Our rural communities are hurting. Main Street America is crumbling. That is not okay.
I know that people out here feel overlooked and left behind. I hear that every single day and they have a reason to be. We've got work to do out here. It is critical that Washington start listening to rural voters. We are important. The strength of this campaign lies in grassroots supporters like you who believe those rural voices deserve to be heard too. →
