Dear John,

I’ve been a gun violence prevention activist for more than two decades. Before becoming the District 2 Supervisor, I was the leader of the San Francisco chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. As Supervisor, I’ve implemented and strengthened our gun violence restraining order program and banned the sale of ghost guns - making San Francisco the first city in California to do so.

Join me and the founder of Moms Demand Action, Shannon Watts, for a discussion on the importance of addressing gun violence prevention at the local level.

When: Wednesday, the 18th, at 11:30 am

Where: This discussion will be held on Instagram, and you can watch live by going to Shannon's page, @shannonrwatts, and clicking her profile image.

Gun violence needlessly destroys the lives of families across the country every single day and it’s traumatizing our nation. We saw the devastation of a community yet again at the hand of a mass shooter in Buffalo last week. We all deserve to live in a country free of gun violence, and I will not give up until that’s a reality.

Warm Regards,

Catherine
