"Washington Congresswoman Kim Schrier proposing legislation to stop gas price gouging" -- KOMO News

John,

Across the country and here in Washington's 8th District, people are feeling the pinch at the pump. While families struggle to keep up with rising costs, oil companies are bringing in record profits. This is greedy price gouging and it's unacceptable.

Congress needs to be doing everything it can to bring down costs for families. That's why Kim joined Representative Katie Porter in introducing the Consumer Fuel Price Gouging Prevention Act.

This legislation would allow President Biden to issue an Energy Emergency Declaration that makes increasing gasoline or home energy fuel prices in an excessive or exploitative manner unlawful. This bill would help hold corporations accountable and give families the relief they deserve.

If you agree we need to address the rising costs of gas prices and hold oil companies accountable, add your name to show your support for Kim's efforts to stop gas price gouging >>

Thanks,

Team Schrier

To hold the House majority, we must re-elect Rep. Kim Schrier in WA-08. Will you chip in to protect Kim's seat and the Democratic House majority in 2022?
